Fisherman’s Lifestyle…..Best Wings On the Cape Fear Coast
When I walked into the front door of Whiskey Trail At The Creek, I knew I was about to experience a good time. The football game was on and there were lots of fans gathered at the bar to cheer on their favorite team. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. I watched as people shared laughter and conversation along with tall glasses of beer. “Yes, this is a fun place to be”, I thought to myself…..But for those of us that are not really into watching the big game while enjoying dinner they have a solution. Just up the stairs, there lies a retreat from the noise which is family oriented with spacious seating offering the same friendly atmosphere.
Whiskey Trail At The Creek in Wilmington, NC, is owned and operated by Chris Levesque who is a chef by trade. The food he serves up to his guests speaks that loud and clear. He has many auspicious menu items, but his wings are some of the best around! All his sauces are made in house with his signature being the Creek Sauce. Yummm…. A tangy, spicey taste of wonderfulness coating those wings that are cooked to perfection. But ALL the sauces are great; trust me, I couldn’t resist. “Wing night” is every Wednesday night, featuring wings for .50 each. Pair that with a cold glass of $2.50 draft beer (featured everyday), and I think you’d agree it’s a good way to end a rough workday.
Whiskey Trail At The Creek also offers other menu items that leave a lasting impression and give you a reason to keep going back. You can visit their website at http://www.whiskeytrailsportspub.com and choose for yourself what you want to try when you get there. What are you waiting on? Get your friends together and everybody go for a good time at your local sports bar. It’s worth it!
The Wing & Fish Company in Shallotte, NC, is another way of saying “fun at the beach”. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are overwhelmed with the variety of aromas coming from the kitchen. You look around, and the restaurant’s décor gives off a familiar vibe almost uttering the words, “come on in and have a sit down”. There is plenty of space for families or couples alike to sit and enjoy an evening of time spent together. A restaurant that prides itself on placing priority on their customer service, Wing & Fish Company is the hot spot in Shallotte.
Wing & Fish Compa
ny is owned by the McMullen family and has been since they opened in 2013. As you can expect, they have the wing thing down pat. They offer a variety of sauces but their signature is the hot and spicy Buffalo Sauce that has satisfied the appetites of many whom have stayed or passed through while on vacation. On Wednesday nights the wings are .75 each, only to be topped by, Monday night; when it’s all you can eat! They have 26 beers on tap including craft beers which seem to be their biggest draw. You can visit the website at http://www.wingandfishco.com and see just how vast the menu is. But of course, we suggest the wings.
