Fisherman’s Lifestyle…Smoked Bluefish Dip
I know that many people really don’t like to eat Bluefish due to the sometimes stronger taste. However there’s a great way to take your next Bluefish catch and turn it into a great snack. It’s a tasty treat for parties and easy to prepare. Best of all it’s popular with the even the most finicky fish eater.
First, take a few Bluefish and place them on aluminum foil and smoke for about 15 minutes in a smoker or charcoal grill. Make sure that you add plenty of smoking chips to provide a lot of smoky taste. Then peal the skin off the smoked blues and mix with the ingredients below. Allow to sit for about an hour and then spread on crackers or toast points.
Smoked Bluefish Dip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 TBS horseradish
- 1 minced clove of garlic
- 1 TBS chili sauce
- 1 TBS minced parsley
- 1/2 cup mashed smoked bluefish
- Salt and pepper
